　　It is understood that the hippocampus is a valuable medicinal marine fish, known as the "Southern Ginseng", and it is a traditional precious Chinese medicinal material in my country. Due to the lack of seahorse resources in natural seas, people began to consider artificial breeding. However, the hippocampus has extremely high requirements for the breeding environment, and the survival rate under artificial breeding conditions has always been a problem. Many domestic farms have tried breeding, but the scale of breeding is relatively small and cannot meet the needs of the market.

　　"Compared with other marine fish, the seahorse breeding technology is not mature enough, and the cost of breeding is also high. Therefore, it is difficult to scale seahorse breeding." Yu Lanliang, the person in charge of the farm said, after market research, they decided to try the scale of seahorse. Chemical farming. Wendeng's marine aquaculture industry is relatively developed, has achieved success in many aquaculture fields, and has accumulated a lot of experience, which also laid the foundation for them to carry out factory seahorse seedling and breeding.

　　In response, they invested more than 100,000 yuan in October 2014 to introduce a number of hippocampal species, and try to hatch and breed them in batches based on the hippocampus species. In order to reduce the risk, the farm only breeds carefully in the fish tank at the beginning. Although I have many years of experience in aquaculture breeding, I have tried everything in the face of unfamiliar seahorse breeding. In addition, the growth environment required by Shanghai horses is much harsher than traditional cultured species such as sea cucumbers, abalones, shrimps and crabs. Yu Lanliang led the team to explore hard, visit other farms to learn, and check information online. At the same time, it has also carried out technical cooperation with universities in Tianjin to provide higher technical support for hippocampus breeding.

　　After exploration, Yu Lanliang and his team mastered the habits of the hippocampus and overcame the technical problems of breeding in water temperature, light, water quality, and salinity. In February 2015, the bred threaded hippocampus was successfully hatched and bred. In April of that year, 5,000 were successfully bred, and by October, more than 50,000 were bred, which made Yu Lanliang very happy. After continuous efforts, it has now bred to more than 300,000 tails. In the next step, they are going to try to add circulating water equipment for hippocampus breeding to further improve their survival rate.
